Our cafeteria offers breakfast and lunch each school day in a welcoming environment, with menu options designed to provide students with wholesome, appealing choices.
Whether students are purchasing meals or participating in Bernice A. Ray School's meal assistance program, our goal is to ensure every student has access to healthy, high-quality food in a welcoming and supportive school environment.

Whitsons uses FDMealplanner, a state-of-the-art mobile menu viewing platform that brings school meal planning to the next level. Through this platform, students, parents, and staff can easily access:

Special Dietary Needs
Students with medically documented dietary needs may be eligible for meal accommodations. Families should contact the school nurse or the school food services department to discuss dietary requests and complete any required documentation.

Meal Assistance Program
Bernice A. Ray School does not participate in the National School Lunch Program. However, we offer a meal assistance program for families who may qualify based on financial need.
Why Complete the Household Income Form?
Information provided by families helps determine eligibility for federal and state funding that supports students and schools. Qualifying households may also help the district provide or expand programs and services, including:
- State Aid Funding and Educational Grants
- Academic support and enrichment opportunities
- School and classroom resources
- Discounts or reduced fees for certain programs and services offered by schools or community organizations
Submitting a form can benefit both your family and our school community.
Confidential and Secure
All information submitted is kept confidential and is used only for determining eligibility for applicable programs and funding in accordance with federal and state requirements.

2026–2027 Meal Assistance Application
Families seeking meal assistance must complete the application each school year and return it to the Front Office for processing. You will be notified once your application has been reviewed and eligibility has been determined.
If your household's financial circumstances change during the school year, we encourage you to submit a new application, as you may become eligible for assistance.
