Counseling

We support the Ray School mission by:

• Teaching our Affective Education Curriculum classroom, grade specific lessons.

• Providing support (not therapy) individually or small groups to any student who is “having big feelings that are getting in the way of thinking, learning, being a good friend and feeling happy”.

• Collaborating with teachers and families on behalf of students.

• Being a clearinghouse of information and resources for Social Emotional Learning, community support services, outside of school mental health services.

• Your child is experiencing “big feelings” and having difficulty managing them.

• There are family stressors/changes (separation, divorce, death, illness, etc.).

• Your child is experiencing friendship/relationship challenges.
