Addressing the Social/Emotional Needs of Students

The Ray School knows the importance of educating the whole child, which includes addressing the social-emotional needs of all students. We recognize that families have had varied experiences since the initial building closure in March, 2020. We are here to support all families and children, and addressing social-emotional wellbeing is a priority.

School-wide, we will continue to implement Responsive Classroom practices to build community and connection. Pam Graham and Karen Strickland are our school counselors, and they will be supporting the school with regular classroom lessons, individual and group counseling for students, and consultations with staff. They are also able to provide parent consultations, as well as connect families with needed resources to support physical and mental well-being.
